Child-Friendly Tattoos for Travel

Here’s a interesting idea…if you are going on vacation with a child who has a lust for wandering out of your gaze, you might be interested in a Kid Safe Inc Tattoo. This is a customized temporary tattoo with your cell phone number or contact information that you can apply to your child’s arm. They are child safe and they can easily be removed with an alcohol wipe that’s included.  We all know that kid’s love tattoos, and these are so hip you just might want one for yourself!! They come in a variety of styles, but we’ve got a penchant for the classic “mom” tattoo! Buy them from Wee Travel for $20 Cdn for a pack of 24.

Traveling with kids to Toronto or Vancouver? Renting baby gear is the way to go.

With tight airline baggage restrictions, there is just no way you can pack everything you and your baby need to make your trip enjoyable. Rather than stress about what you CAN’T bring,  why not rent the latest baby gear and have it delivered right to your door.

When you rent from Wee Travel Baby Equipment Rentals, you can rent a full range of brand-name baby equipment and be assured that:

  • All  products meet Canadian safety standards
  • Equipment is monitored for safety recalls and safety inspect between uses
  • Equipment is sanitized between uses using anti-bacterial non-toxic fragrance free products.
  • Equipment is updated frequently so you can be sure the items you rent will be similar if not better that the items your kids have at home.
  • Equipment has been carefully selected and quality tested to meet the unique needs of travelers.
  • You’ll get a carseat that fits your child and your car. Car seats, children and cars all come in different sizes, and one brand doesn’t fit all.  Wee Travel offers a variety of brands and sizes.
  • Our cribs are folding which means they come assembled and don’t need to be put together. Regular cribs aren’t meant to be taken apart and put back together over and over and over again, and there’s a chance that doing so could lessen their safety

So pack light, enjoy the convenience of renting top-of-the-line baby gear and have yourself a wonderful trip.

Child Carseat Rentals - Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria

If you’re traveling with small children  to Toronto, Vancouver or Victoria this holiday season, you’ll  likely need a carseat. If  you’re renting a car you might want to think twice before renting a carseat though a car rental agency. Most car rental agencies charge $10/day with no guarantees on brand, cleanliness, and safety. However, if you rent one through Wee Travel Baby Equipment Rentals, you’ll pay just $7/day or $35/week,  have your choice of brand, and you are guaranteed a carseat that is spotless, sanitized and safety checked.  Wee Travel delivers to the airport, hotels, residences, and businesses, so you’ll have a seat waiting for you wherever and whenever you need it.

In Ontario, booster seats are required for children under the age of eight, weighing more than 18 kg but less than 36 kg (40-80 lbs) and who stand less than 145 cm (4 feet 9 inches) tall. In BC, this law is in effect from when a child is 18 kg (40 lbs) to age nine or 145 cm tall (4′9″), whichever comes first.

The Safe Way to Fly with Kids: CARES Child Aviation Restraint; GoGo Kidz Travelmate and GoGo Kidz Car Seat Protector Bag

The holiday season is just around the corner. Visions (aka nightmares) of crowded airports, wailing children and mountains of luggage are already occurring far too often in our heads! Wee Travel Baby Equipment Rentals both sells and rents a few items that will surely make traveling with your young ones easier and safer.

The CARES Child Aviation Restraint attaches directly to the back of the airplane seat and augments the regular airplane seat belt by restraining the torso to the seat and not just the waist. It’s FAA approved, and is the only alternative to a carseat permitted on planes. Wee Travel rents it for $5/day and $25/week or you can purchase it for $85 plus shipping and tax.

The GoGo Kidz Travelmate is is a car seat attachment that allows the seat (and child) to be wheeled around the airport just as you would wheel a suitcase. It’s the perfect solution for parents who want bring a car seat on the plane, but are wondering how to manage carrying it through the airport. The gogo Kidz Travelmate fits most convertible and toddler seats. Wee Travel rents it for $5/day or $25/week.

The GoGo Kidz car seat protector travel bag accommodates most standard car seats. If you have a gogo Kidz Travelmate, the car seat protector bag has 2 openings at the bottom for the Travelmate wheels, and an opening at the top for the Travelmate handle, so you can wheel the seat through the airport. It’s the perfect solution for parents who need a carseat at their destination. Wee Travel rents the car seat travel bag for $25/week and sells it for $50.

Boon Fluid No Spill Toddler Cup

It’s got looks, form, and function and it’s  free of BpA, Phthalate,  and PVC. This Fluid No-spill Toddler Cup is perfect for traveling (think no  more wet shirts on long plane rides), and its ergonomic handles make it easy for tiny hands to hold. It holds 9 oz of fluid and has an angled tip requiring less head tipping. Best of all, it retails for about $6.

Hanging Highchairs

Hanging high chairs seem to be the hottest new baby trend. Great for traveling, small to pack, these hangers guarantee your child has a safe, clean, comfortable seat when you’re out and about.

Wee Travel Baby Equipment Rentals (Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria) has come across two that we are particularly fond of.  The Phil & Teds Meetoo, is a really lightweight (2 lbs), is made of aluminum and nylon, and clamps on to any table with C-clamp attachments. It comes with a 3-point safety harness and is good for kids up to 3 years or 40 lbs.  This retails for $70 Cdn.

The Zooper Hook-on Chair comes with a four point harness and attaches to the table with a spring loaded locks and tightening knobs. It looks a little more plush and padded than the Meetoo, and retails for $60 Cdn.

Watch for the Phil & Teds Wriggle Wrapper coming soon. This innovative 3 in 1 portable wrapper lets your wee one sit, sleep and fee while you are on the run. It wraps around yoru waist or a chair for hands free feeding, and also has extendable straps that will fit around most single beds to keep your child from rolling off.  Looks a bit like a restraint in this case, but the idea is clever!

Offi Kapsule Chair

Here at Wee Travel we are always looking for new ways to store our kids “things”. So when we came across the Kapsule Chair by Offi, we were thrilled. Not only is it fab looking (thanks to Karim Rashid) but it’s mutli-functional. The back of the chair is a storage bin, perfect for storing books and other things that often get strewn about the house.  It comes in four hot colours and is made from injection molded polypropylene. Retails for about $50.

Bed Bolster to Go

Ever had trouble sleeping while on vacation because you are worried your little one might just roll out of the ’strange’ bed he’s sleeping in? Well, Wee Travel Baby Equipment Rentals suggests you pack along a Bed Bolster to Go, and sleep peacefully. The portable ‘bed rail’ (it’s really more of an inflatable pillow) inflates in minutes and straps easily to a twin of full size bed. Sells for $39.95 USD. Deflated, you can easily fold it up and pack it in your suitcase.
