RazBaby Keep-it-Kleen Pacifier

It’s a long flight. You’re traveling solo with the baby, and she’s not liking the airplane. In a desperate attempt to get her to sleep, you plop the pacifier into her mouth. She spits it out. You catch it and put it in. She spits it out. This time it lands on the floor. As desperate as you are, there’s no way you’re using the 10 second rule with the airplane floor. Then again, washing the paci means crawling across the two people beside you while holding a wailing, kicking baby.

We’re sure something like this must have happened to the mom who invented the RazBaby Keep-it-Kleen pacifier. This smart silicone savior has shields which close instantly when the pacifier drops, which means it always stays clean. Plus they are totally cute to look at, and retail for about $6 CDN.

Clics

Tired of finding those little Lego pieces scattered all around your house. Then you need to know about Clics…touted to be the next great toy. In fact, we love these so much, we are giving them away to our customers!

Clics are colored plastic building blocks that clic together to form hundreds of different models, limited only by the imagination of the user. Doesn’t sound like much, we know, but just wait and see how much fun your kids have with them.

Made in Belgium, these are all the rage in Europe and New York. Not only do they develop creativity and imagination, but also motor skills, logical thinking and spatial understanding. To get the imagination flowing, each Clics set comes with illustrated diagrams which show you, step by step, how to build a number of objects. The instructions are very easy to follow. And after children get the hang of Clics…they will be creating their own terrific objects. Included in Clics are wheels, axles, and of course the fantastic interlocking Clics themselves.

If you’re taking a road trip, a plane trip or just a day trip, stuff a bunch in your bag and your child will be entertained for hours…trust us!

The Sidekick

If you’re a fan of infant carriers, you’ve likely grappled with the challenge of looking glam and feeling like a sherpa whilst carrying your baby on your front/hip/back and your diaper bag/backpack on the other side of your body.

For an instant makeover, get yourself a Sidekick. We’re not talking about another baby, but the only diaper bag that converts to a child carrier.

The Sidekick is a unique and trendy messenger-style diaper bag that holds all your diapering essentials, including a zippered diaper/wipes pocket, cell-phone pocket, bottle/sippy cups pocket, an insulated bottle wrap and changing pad.

It converts easily from a messenger bag to an infant carrier, and can carry loads up to 35 lbs. You’re biggest challenge with the Sidekick will be figuring out which of the gorgeous colors to choose from! It retails for around $80 USD.

Ingenious Diaper Bags

We’ve already told you about the Studio Cherie diaper bag that we love so much. Now we’ve come across three more diaper bags that might just be your best travel companion.

The gr8x Baby Traveller Deluxe Diaper Bag is a unique diaper bag and baby changing station all in one. Ok, function over fashion here, but it’s pretty clever. It has 3 layers of pockets that hold everying you need for changing, and it’s perfect for parents who want a light weight, practical and organized diaper bag. It retails for around $80 USD.

The Baby Sherpa Diaper Backpack has everybody talking, at least in Hollywood. Brad Pitt has one (which means it’s hot even if it’s not) and these bags were selected to be included in the celebrity swag bag at the Emmy’s last year.

What is great about this bag is that it has a soft-sided cooler uniquely integrated into the backpack. The cooler is large enough to hold snacks, medication and 6-8 canned beverages. It also has an oversize changing pad, a first aid compartment, and ergonomically designed padded shoulder straps. It retails for about $90 USD, and is available for shipping to Canada.

Finally, because we know some dads are never going to carry the gorgeous girly girl diaper bag you’ve just spend a fortune on, there’s something called the DadGear Diaper Vest. Just as the name implies, this is essentially a wearable diaper bag, perfect for the man who won’t be caught carrying anything that even remotely resembles a purse. The vest has strategically placed pockets that hold all of the baby-care essentials that you’d put in a diaper bag, including a changing pad hidden in the back. All in all, not a bad idea, but where do you “wear” the dirty diapers? For $82 USD, it will give dad something to talk about over the water cooler.

  • When you open the changing pad, your wipes, plastic bag pocket, and built-in bag hanger are at your fingertips.
  • The bag and change pad are machine washable.
  • The bag is made from a Crypton fabric which is designed to permanently resist bacteria, moisture, stains and odors.
  • There is a side pocket for bottles, sunglasses, etc.
  • Strap adjusts from 14-49 inches to accommodate your carrying style.

GoGo Kidz Travelmate

So your tot has turned two. The free ride is over. You’re paying for that empty seat beside you now. The ‘fasten your seat belt’ sign is turned on. You buckle your little one in, and notice the seat belt goes up to his armpits. How safe can that be? You thought about shelpping the car seat, but with 3 suitcases, a baby, a stroller and a carry-on…you get the picture.Enter the gogo Kidz Travelmate. It’s a car seat attachment that allows the seat (and child) to be wheeled through the airport just as you’d wheel a suitcase. It can easily maneuver down the aisle of an airplane and can remain attached to the car seat without interferring with the seat or the safety belt. You can rent it from us for $5/day or $25/week (weetravel.ca)

Infants and toddlers deserve the same protection that is provided to other airline passengers. The cool gizmo makes it easy to take the car seat and keep the kids safe.

In the Pocket Baby Chair Harness

Here at Wee Travel Baby Equipment Rentals, we love everything about this baby chair harness except for the fact that it’s not yet available in Canada (at least as far as we know). The site isn’t in English, but from what we can tell, this very cool harness hangs over a chair and also fits into your pocket. This pocket seat works by attaching to an ordinary cafe or dinner chair. You can use it from the time your child can sit upright by him- or herself at approximately 6 months until 2 years of age. When not in use, the “pocket seat” folds into an integrated pouch.
